From the street

Yesterday, as my friend and I had breakfast together and chatted about our work, our kids, our life in general, I had this overwhelming sense of God's presence. Not because we talked about God per se, but because somehow I knew that God was in our conversation. It was holy - as holy as any moment has been.

I went to the hospital to visit a new friend and once again had the sense of God's presence. My new friend is recovering from a terrible accident and the plan is to have him home for Christmas. This, too, was holy.

Meeting with the Young Adult Gathering last night and talking about God's feminine images in Scripture was interesting and fun, too. Sad, Scripture is full of feminine images, but we never get to explore them in church...maybe a sermon series is forthcoming, who knows? but holy, it was holy.
